Client: Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council
The project came with its challenges: the original design specified a large fibreglass tank, but limited road access made transporting it to the site impossible. However, thanks to our collaboration with supply chain partner Viltra, we proposed a modular system that met all required discharge levels. This new system could also be trafficked which meant there was no reduction in car parking spaces.
Key highlights of the project:
• Trenching and ducting for power, water, and drainage; installation of pumping sewer pipework.
• Decommissioning and refurbishing the existing pumping station.
• Installing a treatment plant, pumping stations, and all mechanical/electrical works.
• Installing a grease trap and connecting to the existing network.
• Bitmac reinstatement and fresh white lining.
• Phased work to minimize disruption at this popular tourist destination.
