Pending on the scope and size of the site, the site can be kept operational to maintain our clients business or close it down if it is a large job.
This results in particular attention had to be paid to traffic and pedestrian management on site to ensure the safe completion of works in conjunction with creating safe public access routes. Adequate signage is erected for traffic entering and exiting the site, whilst pedestrian barriers and adjoining signage is adopted for the safe movement of people to and from their vehicles. Daily reviews are conducted to ensure all safety measures are adequate for public access in relation to the works being carried out on that day.
Given substantial areas of the site are cordoned off for completion of the works, remaining areas are maximised to ensure the traffic build up entering the site does not cause any congestion to the adjacent road. Therefore, deliveries to site are scheduled on a phased basis, so that only material required for the imminent work schedule are on site, and all surplus material is removed to maximise space.
