Loughgiel
The project was improving existing external community space to be revitalised with new environmental improvements for community activities. The works included: poly tunnel, site furniture, 36m x 18m multi-use games court with 3m high Security fence surround and minor hard standing surface improvements.
Glenariffe
Construction of a new 30 metre wide by 4.8 metre high rebound wall. The rebound wall consists of a series of 120mm thick precast concrete wall panels which connect to proposed galvanised steel vertical columns. The steel columns are in turn bolted to concrete pad foundations. A strip foundation is to be constructed along the full length of the wall.
Supplied and laid 300m2 area of artificial grass in front of the rebound wall.
Diversion of the existing supply cable which supplied existing floodlighting and was located within the vicinity of the wall. The cable was diverted behind the wall along the full length of the wall.
Rasharkin
Construction of a new Handball Court at Rasharkin, 38m2 handball court consisted of an asphalt surface with stone backfill and terram and a perimeter kerb.
New reinforced concrete shuttered retaining wall that was 3.66 metres high by 4.88 metres wide.
Land and drainage either side of the proposed court which was to drain to a soakaway via a precast concrete manhole.
New 12 metre long by 1.2 metre wide pedestrian asphalt pathway to provide access to the handball court.
